Oregon and Washington high school’s have competition suitable for club and school teams from domestic level through to high-end representative teams. Many of these school’s welcome homestays and classroom experiences with Aussie teams - sure to be a highlight!
Seattle is home to the iconic SpaceNeedle, the focal point of the city’s skyline, while next door is the Chihuly Glass Museum with magnificent blown glass exhibits, and the Museum of Pop Culture with legendary artifacts from the world of music and television.
At Pike Place Market enjoy a coffee from the original Starbucks and watch fish thrown daily at the market. Tour the Boeing factory where jumbo jets are made, and in Portland teams can get their NBA fix when Damien Lillard and the Trailblazers are in town. Visit college programs such as Nike’s flagship school, the Oregon Ducks, and the ever successful Gonzaga Bulldogs, while Seattle’s NFL and MLB teams both offer excellent stadium tours.
The Pacific Northwest is a great destination to experience a snow in a winter wonderland with welcoming homestays and quality basketball.
