The city is home to some of the top high school basketball in the USA. Schools such as Westtown and Lower Merion which have produced young NBA players such as Mo Bamba and Cameron Reddish, and of course Kobe Bryant. Schools in Pennsylvania are permitted to play Australian school teams, while there is a small number of independent schools who can play Australian club teams.
Between games, Philadelphia provides and abundance of attractions enriched with culture, history and symbolism, many of which are focused on America's independence from Great Britain. Pay a visit to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell while also taking in some action at a 76ers home game and Aussie Ben Simmons.
Philly is home to some great basketball programs and is just a short two hour commute from both New York City and Washington DC making an ideal addition to an east coast tour looking for an cultural or Aussie NBA experience
